Board Meeting Minutes
Meeting held at Northwest Pizza/Boardwalk Bagel
In Attendance: Darlene Hendrickson, Randy Cousins, Donna Benson, Judy Sorenson, Lee Siepp, Ray Gildow, Mary Barthel, and Lilah Crowe
Absent: Jill Evans, Dave Anderson, Nancy Cross
Secretary’s report: Unavailable
Treasurer’s report (& finance committee): Judy volunteered to take over for Donna as treasurer and gave report. She has been very busy paying bills and keeping finances in order.
Production bottom line this year: Expenses $29,259 Income $24,031
Current checking account balance is $465 with $4,222 in bills not paid. $2,963 of this is owed to the Brainerd Dispatch and agreed to be paid for by Mills. Lee will take care of the obligation. There is still $650 expected in from advertising sales.
There is also an unspecified amount to be paid on the credit card. Lilah will clarify how much of the balance is owed by ROTR.
Additional money is still expected in from the Founding 50 and bills will be paid as this money comes in. Lee will do some followup on those who have committed to this and not yet contributed on their pledge.
$2,000 from Initiative Foundation will also come in once the land is acquired.
$3,000 grant money may also become available once grant is written.
Site update: Jim Mason has volunteered to draft the deed for the property which has to go to the
railroad and then the city attorney and city engineer.
New business: Darlene to contact Dave Anderson regarding his desire to continue serving on the board. Accepted Laura Oldham’s resignation.
Mary
Scott will be filing our 990 with the IRS by
assets. Judy will work with her on this.
Next meeting tentatively set for
necessary to allow for Jody to attend when he is back.
